[September 1996] [From 07/01/95 to 06/30/96] [List of Accomplishments/Achievements] Chris Shenton is a leading industry expert in Internet technologies and security and functions as a technical emissary for NASA. During the past year Chris was instrumental in providing our business partners in Moscow with technical guidance for using the Internet as an effective collaborative tool for Science (the result is that NASA and Russian scientists can now work quickly on projects across time zones. He is often called upon when the White House requests technical assistance from NASA (e.g. he ensured a successful Internet video conference between Vice President Gore, Elementary School students and NASA Mission Control). In support of the Chief Information Officer, he formulated HQs and Agency directions for E-mail and network security and Intranet architectures. And he lead the Headquarters team supporting Quest's "Live from Mars" collaboration over the Internet with educators from around the Nation.
